Reception 2026 Admissions Information
Our school serves the parishes of Aston Clinton, Buckland and Drayton Beauchamp and in addition we have on roll a number of children from outside our reserved area whose parents have chosen this school. Our admission number for each year group is 58, and if requests exceed this number Buckinghamshire Council admissions criteria are applied and children awarded places accordingly.
Open Mornings
We are pleased to invite prospective parents to attend one of our upcoming open mornings:
- Tuesday 21 October 2025
- Wednesday 5 November 2025
- Thursday 20 November 2025
Time: 9:30am – 10:30am
To book a place, please email the school office at office@astonclinton.bucks.sch.uk, including the following details:
- Your full name
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Number of adults attending
Please note: spaces are limited to 30 attendees per session and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
These sessions are for parents/carers only. Once a place has been offered to your child, separate transition meetings involving children will be arranged.
The application deadline for Buckinghamshire children starting Reception in September 2026 is midnight on January 15, 2026. Online applications open on November 5, 2025, and parents should submit their application and any required address evidence by the deadlines to avoid it being considered late.
Key Dates for Reception 2026 Admissions
- November 5, 2025: Online applications for primary school places open.
- January 15, 2026 (midnight): The final deadline for submitting your application.
- January 29, 2026: The deadline for providing address evidence if you are moving into or within Buckinghamshire.
- April 16, 2026: National Offer Day, when you will receive your child's school place offer.
What to Do
Complete the Application:
You must submit the Local Education Authority (LEA) starting primary school application form.
Provide Evidence:
Ensure your application includes all necessary address evidence by the deadline.
Submit on Time:
Applications submitted after the January 15, 2026, deadline will be considered late.
Wait for Offer:
On National Offer Day, you will receive an email from Buckinghamshire Council with your child's offer.
Admissions to the reception classes are co-ordinated by the Buckinghamshire Council Admissions Team. The admissions process is detailed on their website

We also have an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) for children who have an Educational Health Care Plan with an identified language impairment. This department takes up to ten children from across the Authority.
