Absences

If your child is absent from school we ask you to phone in or e-mail the school office on each day that your child is away, giving the reason for the absence. Any unexplained absences are followed up with a phone call on the first day of absence so we are aware of why the child is away. We are required to keep very detailed records, and unexplained absences must be marked as ‘unauthorised’. Children whose attendance is causing concern will receive a letter from the school. The Educational Welfare Officer monitors children’s absences and works with families when attendance becomes an issue.

If your child has a medical appointment during school hours, then please send an e-mail in advance including a copy of the appointment confirmation.

Late Arrivals

The school day starts with registration at 8.45am. If for any reason your child arrives late please sign them in at the office.
